I am creating various Collections based on ip address ranges in order to push a bit of software out over multiple sites.
For the smaller sites with low numbers of computers, I can use the wildcard i.e. 192.168.34.% and that works fine, it picks up all the computers in that site I would it expect it to.
My question is, what is the SMS 2003 syntax/wildcard to break up a class c subnet into three or four subnets?
For example, suppose a site had 220 computers, and the network looked like 192.168.34.0/24
Now, I don’t want to push the software out to all 220 computers at once, I want to break it up because I don’t want to flatten the network.
So I want to fill the first collection with computers using an ip address from range 192.168.34.1 to 192.168.34.60, and the second collection with computers using an ip address from range 192.168.34.61 to 192.168.34.120, and so on until I have, say, four collections (the last one will have a different number of computers from the rest of course).
