Hi All
I would like to ask you if you know any Microsoft suggestion or recommendation regarding maxmimum number of shared printers that can be configured on a single non-clustered server regardless of hardware, in a high print usage environment (let’s suppose 800 users that continously prints relatively small documents of 5 to 10 pages, PDF, DOCs etc) . Do you know if
there is some document that reports about best practice in sizing print servers?
Another point: have you ever heard about large environments using IPP ? For example, what do you think about an environment that implements a 2-Nodes-NLB to load balance 2 print servers with 400 printers mapped by users via Internet Printing Protocol? Would it be a feasible solution? Does IPP scale for a such size? Does NLB work fine with IPP-IIS-WebSite or is this a particular use that may lead to performance problems?
TIA
