Server IP: 10.0.0.1 Clients IP: 10.0.5-20 All clients are Windows XP Prof, Clients dns & gateway pointing to 10.0.0.1. I have followed the exact steps from http://petri.com/how_to_install_active_directory_on_windows_2003.htm. Everything went without any problems. I have made all the clients the member of domain aswell. For testing the DNS ive tried nslookup from the server/client im getting following messages: DNS request timed out. timeout was 2 seconds. *** Can’t find server name for address 10.0.0.1: Timed out Default Server: UnKnown Address: 10.0.0.1 Is the following message normal? The dns console has 4 SRV records. Author Posts Viewing 1 post (of 1 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
