The SCCM 2007 server runs as a virtual machine on a Hyper-V server, the database is installed on a separate physical machine running SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition SP3. However, when the R2 install is run, the following message appears: “Setup was unable to update the database. Verify that the site database server is on the network and that your account is a member of Sysadmins on the SQL Server. 0x80004005” Both the site server and the site database server are on the same subnet, and the SCCM appears to run successfully. Is there some other configuration I need to perform when using a ‘remote’ SQL Server for the site database server? Thanks in advance Author Posts Viewing 1 post (of 1 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
