    Hello and TYIA,

Over the last year, a client stopped using in-house exchange and moved to a hosted solution. I disabled all the Exchange services on the SBS 2008 as was suggested on various forum. I was researching a different problem in the event viewr and I noticed that there are a ton of Exchange errors being logged.

    Quote:
    Log Name: Application
    Source: MSExchange Autodiscover
    Date: 7/12/2014 11:28:06 AM
    Event ID: 1
    Task Category: Web
    Level: Error
    Keywords: Classic
    User: N/A
    Computer:
    Description:
Unhandled Exception “Exchange Active Directory Topology Service on server localhost cannot be contacted via RPC interface. Error 0x6D9.”

    See attached for full error.

Is there a way to COMPLETELY disable Exchange, or safely uninstall it? I have read that there may be problems with uninstalling Exchange from SBS 2008.

    Thank you,

    dp
