    Hi,

We used to use Windows Server Backup to perform backups on our file server, but we are now using a separate software. The backup destination is a dedicated local drive (a vDisk – VMWare). How do I proceed to avoid downtime? Here is the plan I tought of:

    1. Stop backup (already done)
    2. In the disk management section of server manager, right-click on the disk, then Offline
    3. Remove the virtual disk from the VM in the VM settings
    4. Delete the virtual disk from the datastore (could be done in previous item)

    Am I forgetting something? Thanks,
