Reinstall SP1 and SP2 after reinstall from RTM

Exchange was in bad shape, SMTP Connectors where hogging CPU, after try everything, I decided to reinstall exchange.
Ran setup /reinstall from the CD (RTM), completed ok, everything looks good.
Current version level is 6.5 Build 6944.4

Now need to get to Exchange SP2

SP1 update.exe gives me

Quote:

The component “Microsoft Exchange” cannot be assigned the action “Update” because: – You cannot use this edition of Microsoft Exchange Server Service pack Update to update a more recent Version

Just for kicks
SP2 update.exe and I get

Quote:

The Component “Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration Services” cannot be assigned the action “Update” because: Service Pack 2 for exchange server 2003 includes an updated version of the Microsoft exchange Intelligent Message Filter. An earlier version of the exchange Intelligent Message Filter has been detected on this system and this earlier version must be uninstalled before applying service pack 2

(NOTE: I never actually had that earlier version of IMF, just the one in SP2)
