let me start with explaining the environment we have in AWS:
RDS FARM
SGateway – RDS Gateway
SBroker – RDS Broker, RDS Web
SHost1 – RDS Host
SHost2 – RDS Host
SHost3 – RDS Host
FileServ – FileServerAll are on the Server 2016
We have 3 RDS Collectors as following:
Collect1 – For all users
Collect2 – For Prod Team
Collect3 – For Dev TeamHere is the issue:
Two things occurs whenever the user are going to the RDWeb URL “https://connect.ourdomain.com/RDWEB” and connect to the one of the collection based on the need.
From the moment user click on the Icon on RDSWeb, it takes about 45 Seconds to 1+ minute to initiate Remote session.
Once the Remote Session is initiated, it goes through normal process of applying settings, GPO and etc. however, after that it goes to Black screen for a long time (Between 1+ minute to 2.5 Minutes) and than it displays the icons. We are using UPD, which is located and pointed to the “FileServ” server.
We tried different users, new users, and etc. but regardless of whichever collections user connects to it takes way too much time (in total about 2 to 3 minutes tops) to get the desktop screen.
One important point, “all the servers are under the same subnet and location (AWS Region)
I need help to resolve this Delay in logging into the machine. (Specially the time it takes to display the user’s desktop.
Please help to resolve this issue.
