Hi, I have just installed vmware workstation so that I can run windows 2008, windows 7, vista etc on a test network for my exams etc

I have built a windows 2008 Server DC with DHCP, installed Windows 7 and I am trying to connect to the domain training.local

Windows 7 is picking up DHCP information ok and I can ping the server, cannot ping the pc (not checked firewall yet)

when i try to connect to the domain I get the following message

Logon Failure: unkown username or bad password

    both are correct,

can anyone through any light on this

    thank you

This eBook will dive into policy considerations you need to make when creating and managing guest user access to your Teams network, as well as the different layers of guest access and the common challenges that accompany a more complicated Microsoft 365 infrastructure.

You will learn:

  • Who should be allowed to be invited as a guest?
  • What type of guests should be able to access files in SharePoint and OneDrive?
  • How should guests be offboarded?
  • How should you determine who has access to sensitive information in your environment?
