Recently I’ve noticed the appearance of the following sub-folders in Documents & Settings:-

    Administrator.DTOP &
    All Users.WINDOWS

When expanded , these duplicate the contents of Folders :-

    Administrator &
    All Users

Im addition to this there are a new series of entries which appear in the Startup Folder with the LOCATION given as “COMMON STARTUP”

“COMMON STARTUP ” is a subfolder of Folder “pss” which is found in C:Windows.

I am unable to delete “Administrator.DTOP” and “All Users.WINDOWS” even from the Safe Mode Command Prompt.

If , using msconfig>Startup , I attempt to delete the entries mentioned which are now appearing in the Startup Folder under the LOCATION “COMMON STARTUP” they all re-appear on the next re-boot as does the folder C:Windowspss after that has also been deleted.

Can anyone explain this ? I have run Ad-Aware, Spybot, and MS AntiSpy without result.
