I’m experiencing a problem configuring NNTP in IIS V6 (server 2003):
I’ve set up an NNTP virtual server with all the defaults including, obviously, anonimous access.
I’ve created two different folders, one for internal server files and the other for the newsgroups. All NTFS permissions in these folders are the default ones.
The problem is I can post messages in the default newsgroups (control.*), but when i try to access my configured test newsgroup, Outlook Express cannot swich to it and i keep getting this 480 error “Logon Required”.
Is there any catch i don’t know about with IIS’ NNTP service?
