.NET FRAMEWORK 3.5.1 refuses to install on an XP Pro Standalone i have at work,
basically it fails when attempting to install using update.microsoft.com, i downloaded the installer from Microsoft and ran locally blue progress bar gets 10% of the way and hangs,I have made sure windows installer service is running, and re-started the process, also i have installed windows installer 4.5
also tried running .net framework 4.0 installer, also fails, :confused: the PC does have .net framework 2.0 installed as indicated in add/remove
i really need the latest .netframe work v 3.5.1 or 4.0 to run a new application that is dependent on it
