Anyone have any in-depth knowledge of Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007?
We have implemented it in our small domain, clients are all XP Pro pc’s; the problem is that the SCE agent is adding on three or four minutes each time to the start up time. If the agent is removed, start up time is back to normal. Install the agent again, three or four minutes is again added to the startup time. Funnily enough, users don’t seem to appreciate this! ;-)
The one pc that isn’t affected by the agent has 1Gb of ram, the affected pc’s each have 500Mb of ram – it isn’t financially possible just now to upgrade the ram on the other pc’s.
I have googled this and noticed that others are having the exact same problem but as yet I have not yet found a solution.
The agent is obviously doing something at start-up, running scripts or whatever, is there a way to supress these or at least delay them or stagger them?
Be grateful if someone could let me know if have found a solution for this issue.
