we are migrating off Exchange 2007 and back to regular outlook linked to our payfor mail service provider. We recently moved providers and they keep a record of all emails sent and received, which is a compliance issue for us. It was decided to move everyone off exchange, convert their OST to PST and then backup their PST in a backup location. All new emails will be backed up off site.
We will still be using the server and need to keep exchange running in a minial way. We will still be using it as a means for the server to send the IT department and Managers necessary updates regarding server maintenance.)
How do make sure our emails are not being intercepted by exchange when sent to our outlook mailboxes?
What steps can I take to make this a smooth transition?
