I was wondering if i could get some help with Sharepoint 3.0 on my SBS 2003 standard edition. The problem is that i have made a few folders under “General Documents” so that i can upload a few documents over there for people to download from home. They can log into the Intranet with no problem because they got their user credential set up.
However, they can surf pretty much all the links available on the Intranet including the General Document. When they tried to click on those folders i created for documents storage, they got an error page saying “The page can not be found”. They told me that they noticed the URL address was actually a direct file server link (e.g. the url said “//workfileserver:405555/Shared Documents/…). Since they access it from home, it would be treated as a remote access.
My question is whether there are any other way of creating the folders with url that can be accessed remotely. This way, people can get into them remotely.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance
