Installing Services for Network File System Role fails on Exchange 2010 Mailbox serve

Hi,
I am trying to install Services for Network File System role on the Mailbox servers on Dag exchange 2010. Every time i install it fails & throws out the error Installation failed, the server needs to restarted to undo the changes.
But when i look into the services before i do restart, the Server for NFS appears but after restart its not there.
How to install the Services for Network File System role on the Mailbox server??
The OS is windows 2008 R2
I was able to successfully install it on Hub&Cas servers
