I have a problem with connecting a mobile phone Sony Ericsson K300i through USB cable.

I have a WinXP Pro system (SP2). 2 USB ports are set on a motherboard, and two more, at the computer front panel. USB Cable KQ-UBA is connected to one of the front panel USB ports.
At the every next connection of the cable, a virtual COM-port number is increased by 1. With the mobile phone being connected after that, the system cannot find it on any such COM-port, except for COM3.

How can I zero a virtual COM-port counter or set a port number to COM3?
