I need to generate a RDP file on a linux server using java.

Apparently the password is encrypted with a windows library called crypt32.

Is there a way to do this from java, has anyone written a pure java implementation? I would really like to stay away from using wine or something like that.

If not, is there a way to put a clear text password in the rdp file? these are going to be very temporary rdp files with random passwords so it isn’t terrible if the password is clear text.

  • How should guests be offboarded?
  • How should you determine who has access to sensitive information in your environment?
