Front End Exchange Server only talk to one of two back end servers?

Hello,
I am new here and looking for some advice. My company has a single Exchange 2003 Std Ed server. We needed to expand, so I created a 2nd server, installed Exchange 03 Std. I also have a 3rd server ready to become a Front End Server. I am planning to create a new public owa name with SSL and maybe RPC over HTTPs with this new FE server. I need for this new FE server to only talk to my 2nd exchange server. (The original Exch svr needs to function as it is for a while, most importantly OWA. Eventually it can become only a back end server will need to be accessed from the FE as well.
Is this doable?
