Forcing disconnect crashes TS

We have a 2003 TS which is used at any one time by around 40 users. Occasionally, a user will attempt to log in and the session will sit on blank screen indefinitely, the session will not reach the desktop. This causes problems when the user then tries to log in again, as the session is not released from the TS. Normally, choosing to log the session off would allow the user to log back in again with no problems, however, this quite frequently causes the server to crash instantly and reboot. I spoke to a colleague who told me that this is a known issue with 2003 TS, and that there is a MS hotfix for it. Are any of you guys aware of this problem?
