Viewing 1 post (of 1 total) Author Posts mudcow007Member Aug 15, 2011 at 4:44 am #155859 right, we have two buildings with a fibre link between them. the fibre goes into a “Mini5” media convertor, which is connected to a Netgear GS724TP switch recently the connection has been dropping. one of the switches shows that network port the media convertor is plugged into has dropped if you pull the network cable out of the port on the switch an try another port, the connection comes back up. but will drop after 1hr (ish) i have tried disabling PoE an auto negotiation but it didnt seem to make an difference. im thinking that the switch could see the port as having unusual high traffic an thinks its a dos attack an stopping the port|? just an idea? any one have any ideas!? cheers Author Posts Viewing 1 post (of 1 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
