I am looking for help getting Exchange ActiveSync working.

    Here is my environment:

    SBS2003
    Exchange 2003 SP2
    Motorola Q (Verizon Wireless)

It is my understanding that I should be able to navigate to http://mail.domain.com/oma and see a scaled down version of Outlook that the Smartphone uses. Is this true?

This is what I get from IE when I navigate to http://mail.domain.com/oma

Unable to connect to your mailbox on server servername. Please try again later. If the problem persists contact your administrator.

    And the server event:

    Category 1000
    Event ID 1805

Request from user [email protected]l resulted in the Microsoft(R) Exchange back-end server MARLIN returning an HTTP error with status code 501

    Response:
    Content-Length: 0
    Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0
    X-Powered-By: ASP.NET
    Date: Wed, 28 Jun 2006 17:46:40 GMT

    Original Request:
    Content-Type: text/xml
    Depth: 0
    Content-Length: 389
    Expect: 100-continue
    Connection: Keep-Alive
    Host: marlin

I have yet to synchronize any smartphone with the Exchange server. When I try to sync over-the-air I receive 85010014 on the phone and:

    Event ID 3005

Unexpected Exchange mailbox Server error: Server: [MARLIN.couch.local] User: [[email protected]] HTTP status code: [501]. Verify that the Exchange mailbox Server is working correctly.

And when I sync via USB I receive 80072f78 in the ActiveSync window and nothing on the server.

I have seen many articles about Forms Based Authentication. It is enabled on my server and users are unable to access OWA if I disable it.

Sorry for the long message, any help is appreciated.

    Jeff
