Exchange 2003 is taking too long to send E-mails to inbox

I am currently having Win 2003 server as my domain controller and Exchange 2003 server configured on another Windows 2003 server SP1.
Recently I the performance of Exchange has slowed down a lot. It is taking too long by Exchange to deliver E mails to inbox. Some times the mails are not delivered even after a day.
Pls Help
