Exch 2003 – Point in time restoration

Good Morning,

I am running an Exchange 2003 Standard SP2 server on W2003 server OS. Latest patches.

I need to get into two mailboxes to a ‘Point in time’ of over a year ago (The same date) WITHOUT over-writing the actual mailboxes. I need to access those emails in their mailboxes to read communications between them that have been deleted far in the past.

My backup tapes for that time are fine. However, I cannot over-write the existing mailboxes without losing a years worth of mail.

The deleted mails are past the cutoff time to recover and I need to use the backup tapes.

I can only have one storage group in Exchange standard. I am using ArcServe and it backs up the entire group not the individual files.
