When clicking C.P.>Admin Tools>Computer Management I get a message under the heading of “Microsoft Management Console” which states:-

    “Snap-in failed to materialize.
Name:- Performance Logs and Alerts Extension
    CLSID:{7478EF65-8C46-11D1-8D99-00A0C913CAD4}”

On searching for this on Google I get the advice to enter into START>RUN the following;-

    “regsvr32 smlogcfg.dll”

This produces the followng message under the heading :-

    “RegSvr32”

“LoadLibrary (“smlogcfg.dll”) failed. The specified module could not be found”

I notice that the files “regsvr32.exe” and “smlogcfg.dll” are both present in the Sys 32 Folder in the Windows Folder.

How do I resolve this error message ?
