Erase flash from Cisco Switch

Hi everyone,
I have not too long started the CCNA class and am doing the lab on routers and switches…they are fasinating and I am taking the learning quite well….sometimes I have ? and I go to goolge or Jeremy teaching but this one I am not succeding. I TELNET from School using their routers and switches….on one of the switch I erase the flash or dir flash because the fa that I had conf was not showing on the switch, so I wanted the switch to be at the original so I can see the difference with it………well, now its just showing switch:
should I just reset?
Its not taking any command….only the question mark…with all the commands that can be done.

Thanks for any response. I have been at it all day trying to medicate it….
Not to forget I don’t have access to the switch to switch it off. Also I am hesitant to ask the teacher…he already has little time for us.
