    Hi all,

I have a HP DL380 G7 with dual processors to used as a SQL 2005 server running Windows 2008 standard.

    I have 3 x 2GB memory modules and 3 x 8Gb.

What would be the best way to lay out the memory? Is it ok to put the 3 x 2Gb on one ‘side’ and the 3 x 8Gb on the other. Will the processors ‘share’ the memory or do I ideally want to balance the memory up on both ‘sides’?

    Cheers

    Jim
