A customer bought a new server with 4 NIC’s. It is behind a router with IP 192.168.10.250 and it is using only one NIC which has static IP 192.168.10.1 ( all the other 3 NIC’s are disabled in Windows ).
When I try to setup RRAS to provide VPN authentication to remote users, server looses internet connection and local workstations are unable to access either server Name or IP.
I’ve tried to enable one of the previous disabled NIC’s, connect it to local switch hub and leave it to get IP from the server itself. When I have to choose which LAN card I’m using during RRAS wizard I really don’t know which one to use: both NIC’s are “local” since they have IP’s in 192.168.10.x; the one with IP 192.168.10.1 is the one that is providing access to local workstations but it is also the IP that is the DNS server and the DHCP server.
