I have read the other posts with the same error message, but they are not the same scenarios.
My domain administrator account is giving me the error “The system cannot log you on. Logon failure: account currently disabled.” when trying to login to a file server (W2K Server) using terminal services. This also occurs occassionally when trying to login at the server.
However, if I look at the account on the domain controller (2003 Server), it is not disabled – and I CAN login to the domain controller itself using the domain admin acct using TS. This problem is intermittent and does eventually correct itself.
Similarly, I have been already logged in as the domain admin and suddenly documents, drives, etc. cannot be opened or accessed and I get the same message.
