    Hello,
today I saw the situation when unintentionally naming new pc with the existing web server name blocked access to the server.

    Details:
web server name is INTRANET. A test windows machine was named Intranet (not joined to domain). This machine was registred in DNS when got IP from DHCP. The result is clear. DNS requests to Intranet. were pointed to a new DHCP address and not to the server static address.
How to prevent this and other risks?

    Thx.
    Michael.
