Hi
I am in the middle of a double-cross-forest Exchange migration, and am really struggling with the Public Folders.
I ran across a glimmer of hope in a blog post by Simon Butler, which talks about using rules in Outlook 2010 to get the Public Folders from one org to another.
His blog is at blog.sembee.co.uk but I can’t link to it.
(edit: upon further reading, Simon is the moderator for this forum)
Unfortunately after a couple of days I have been unable to figure out how to do this, and it is not elaborated on within the post.
If I could get this going it would truly be an awesome boost to this project which is currently dragging far behind schedule, kicking and screaming at every turn.
Does anyone know how what Simon has posted is done?
He mentions:
This allowed me to create a rule to move the content between the two public folders. Once the rule was set, I left it to get on with it. The speed wasn’t great, but compared to moving it manually, it was a considerable time saver
…
Furthermore, by using multiple machines, I could move lots of large public folders at once. Once the process was completed, the rule was discarded.
Thanks for your time.
