Added a second hardrive and want to assign it to a vm as an additional drive

Hello Guys,
I currently added another hard drive to my esxi 4.1 host and want to assign it to a vm as additional storage. Currently the new harddrive is formatted as a datastore but what i want to do is assign the 1TB HD to my dfs server for additional space. Can someone show me how to do this?Thanks
