My boss has asked me to do the following:

Create a virtual Windows NT Server box that can access the scsi tape drive on the host.

The host is a Windows 2000 Server.

I have created the host and virtual machine, using Workstation 6.5. When the machine is working correctly it will be accessed through VMware player.

I can add the Generic SCSI device (SCSI 0:1). When I try to change the device status to connected I get an error that says, “Failed to connect virtual sevice scsi 0:1”. The physical SCSI device is “SCSI1:”.

    Thanks
