I’m new to this site but I have been running SBS2003 for about two years now and have done a few installs from scratch. I have learned most of it as I went along as there was not too much information back then on SBS2003. So I may be able to help a little on here and I hope to learn a lot.

Anyway, here is my first question for all of you

    Config Info:
    Sever SBS2003 Prem.
    Running ISA, Exchange etc…
    3GB Ram
    2- Xeon 2.4 Processors

    Workstations: all XP Pro

When starting IE for the first time or even after it has been sitting idle for a few minutes there is always a delay of about 5-10 seconds. Is there anyway to reduce this delay? This is the same on all workstations, although the server’s internet access is instant and always has been. I have heard this is normal and there is nothing you can do about it but I thought I would see of anyone has a fix. Keep in mind after the initial delay as long as you keep using IE it works fine, it’s just the first start up or after is has been idle for a few minutes.

    Thanks in advance. :)

    Rhett
