Build Numbers and Release Dates for Exchange Server Products

In knowledge base article 158530 , Microsoft have published a list of all of their releases of Exchange server, starting from Exchange 4.0 back in 1996, and ending in the present with Exchange Server 2007 SP1.

Each version of Microsoft Exchange Server has a different build number, and when installing Service Packs on Exchange Server, this build number changes. The following table lists the build numbers and general release dates for each version.
